Playing Final Fantasy is like reading a story. The only difference is that you are interacting with it..which is a good thing, of course.
The gameplay is awesome, the graphics are always pushed to the limits and the music is wonderful. I couldn't think of anything more perfect than that.
This series of games is coming close to one of the best things thats happened to the gaming industry. Its developed a huge fanbase with people from all over the world, most notably Japan. You can even find fans writing fanfiction about various characters from all Final Fantasies, including the very first one.
Anyhow if I had to pick my favourite final fantasy it would probably have to be XII. The storyline is awesome, the gameplay is astonishing and the environment of the game is like a breath of fresh air.
So thats my take on Final Fantasy :D

The real Final Fantasy Fanatics will tell you that the best one over all is Final Fantasy VI. Now that it is on the GBA a whole new generation will be able to play it and actually see how it is. I have the GBA version and I don't see much different with the game so far other than the cleaning up some conversation and things named differently (i.e. Stray is now Cait Sith). Most people had not played a Final Fantasy before VII so that is where a lot of people come with that one as the best. VII is a good game, but honestly there are too many plot holes and hidden information to make the game the best. Very good, but not the best.

I nevertheless have been given platinum for that interest nevertheless lol. For the record, 7,9, 10 and 12 have been spectacular. I wasn't prepared on 8. Squall seems too very reminiscent of a device, and the full draw device i did no longer like in any respect. very final fantasy constantly! xD

I liked FFVII and FFX. FFXII is a beautiful game on the PS2. But I'm addicted to the online FFXI that I play on my Xbox 360.
I also enjoyed the Disney/SE collaboration of Disney characters and FF characters on Kingdom Hearts I and II.

I love the final fantasy series because it's full of action and bunch of old school RPG. I personally like FFX and FF7 the best because the storyline is better than the rest.

I like final fantasy because it is so creative, the story is so tight, and the gameplay, the best series ever. FINAL FANTASY VII BEST GAME EVER IF YOU DISAGREE TALK TO ME ABOUT IT I WILL PROVE YOU WRONG IN EVERY ANGLE ANY TIME ANY DAY!

The FF series has always been known for it's storyline.
When FFVII came out, the CGI was just incredible, and it continues to get better with each new FF game.
The characters are all memorable, no matter how annoying or sucky they are.
FFVI (FFIII on the SNES) is my favorite.

I just like role playing games
-Everyone is going to say FF7
-ff8 sucked
-I liked ffX too
-On the other hand ffxX-2 was TERRIBLE
-Im kinda playin ff12 now, but i havent been playin since i got my wii. Last time i played I had the entire grid.

It's just the storyline just goes together so well. I luv FF7 (the movie too), and I am playing FFX, X-2, and FFXII.
