I have a master's in Interdisciplinary Humanities. I feel like it's too chaotic and too unfocused of a program of study. I had some great teachers, but all of them were in other departments.
There's something of a text book in the core courses, usually a too-comprehensive book on Western Humanities. Most classes will focus on certain primary works that the professor chooses and some secondary critical essays that the professor finds enlightening. I had to choose a period of history and then choose four classes about that period. I ended up in two history classes, an English literature course, and a French literature course. The rest of my degree was similar to an English degree.

I see humanities related to social behavior: Law, psychology, philosophy, history are all in humanities in my country.
Be ready to read, I had to read so many books and so many things during my time in law school, that I easily felt sleep during my readings and when I woke up, the book was right on my face and had to kept reading again because of the lack of free time I used to have...some of my dreams, became part of my readings. If you know what I mean.
A good reading, I recommend you to keep is Machiavelli (Politic Science, "Principe" ), it is a must.
