1. Pearl Harbor caused the United States to declare war on Japan.

2. Japan was in a alliance with Germany. Germany declared war on the United States. The United States then declared war on Germany, bringing the United States into the European part of the war.

3. The United States had already been indirectly participating in the war with the Lend-Lease program to Great Britain. Without this aid, Great Britain would not have had supplies to fight. So, Germany knew that the U.S. would join the fight eventually. This was a cause.

The U.S. had several fears which propelled them into WWII. One was that the Nazis would take control of Europe, Africa and Asia and dominate those markets. Another, was that the Nazis would not stop with dominating Europe, Africa and Asia and would set their sights on the U.S. Yet another reason was the fear that the Soviets would defeat the Nazis and turn all of Europe towards communism.

Coz America had alot of spare soldiers sitting in their barracks at home doin nothing. Then they thought ,'I know the rest of the world is at war so why dont we join in, we could do with apopulation cull anyway, plus we eat too many donuts anyway we could do with the exercise.
