I'm 21, and have had one child. As a teen, my periods were really really heavy, and my cramps were extreme. Its been better since my daughter was born 2 years ago. I've been really stressed this past month, and for the past couple of days my period has been so heavy that I go thru an entire super-plus tampon in a 1/2 hour. Does this ever happen to anyone else? Can stress cause heavy periods?

The main reason for your problems is stress. Try to relax as much as possible, especially week or so before your period start; and have a lots of rest. If you smoking - don't. Have some chamomile tea, too.

Get to the docts I think you might have endodemitriosis (spelling unsure). However, it just means that you are growing more uterus lining than most and if not treatment gets quite serious, or you need to get your bloods done could you have poly cystic ovaries which either heightens all your problems or you dont have any problems. Get checked and good luck.

Yes, I have had heavy bleeding with my periods before and it was an indicator of a couple of different things for me, one of them being endometriosis. Pls get in touch with your gynecologist to have this heavy bleeding looked in to.

Since this heavy bleeding you're experiencing is recent, go to the Gyn to have yourself checked. It could be from anything.

Please ask your gyn to check you for fibroids. I have a couple of friends who had the same problems with their periods and they discovered that they had fibroids.

When I was really stressed once, I had my period for a month.

Good luck!
