when will broadband high speed internet be avaiable in the rual areas?

i know someone that lives in the country when will high speed internet will be avaiable/

we live in leavenworth kansas at&t doesnt have high speed internet for the country.

You should be able to get it thru your local telephone company.

now. It's just expensive. Dish Network offers a plan (with high lag, but if you're not a gamer, who cares) and some providers may offer a line of site system where if a dish in your yard can see a certain tower, then you can get wireless broadband.

Probably the cheapest solution might be cellular broadband if you buddy picks up a cell signal. Check with the cellular provider.

It depends on the area. I work for Cox Communications and we provide HSI to multiple areas through out the United States. Depending on the area of the person you are speaking of, Qwest, Time Warner, Comcast and Adelphia are all major providers of HSI. You will want to have the person call and speak with their local cable provider and ask this question.

DIRECTV has a high speed internet option if you have the service. Location as far as the boonies will be no problem then.

I live in a very rural area of kentucky and I have dsl. if highspeed is here, I would assume it would be almost everywhere in the US.
