I was at Daniels* house and we were watching Viva La Bam on MTV (his favourite show) and I got really bored. Anyway, I started mucking around, flicking his ear and just being generally annoying and he started flicking me back, we were just having a bit of senseless fun like normal, then I climbed onto his lap, straddling him, put my hands on both sides of his head and leaned down and started kissing him, and the whole kiss started out sweet but got really passionate quickly. But the whole time, his lips were cold, like a steel bar is during winter, but still "hot" is the only word i can think of.
This dream has confused me because we work together and he's my best friend, strictly platonic. I knew I was starting to get feelings for him but made a concious decision to not do anything on them and stay friends only. I've never had a dream like this about someone before. Please give your "analysis"

Don't stress too much about it. The dream is your own conflicting emotions about your friend. On the one hand, you are attracted to him, but you don't want to ruin your friendship.

Well, the only thing that matters is how you feel about him in real life. I had a dream kind of like that and we were just plain platonic friends, (in real life). I didn't like her in the intimate way but was decently pretty. She was really nice to me, so I guess that's why I had that "hot" dream with her.

Oh and kissing him is like kissing a steel bar might be because you don't know what it's like kissing HIM, so something random or unpleasant like kissing a frog comes to mind, or to lips for that matter. I had a dream like that also.

I might only be 16 but I have read a lot about dreams and what they mean.
You said that you had feelings for him but you didn't want to move on them.
It sounds like you still haven't really made up your mind.
And even if you have, there feelings, you can't just get rid of them.
It's a way for you to have what you want without really ruining anything.

Sometimes your dreams are a way of releasing things. It's where your deepest desires come alive.
So think about it.

I work in psychology and am well on my way to becoming a certified counselor. A dream such as this is probably an expression of your unconscious. It's not a premonition or anything like that. It's nothing to really look into too much. You have feelings for him that are conscious. The dream was just an expression of your unconscious desires. If you keep having them maybe it's worth trying to pursue something further than "friends".

My suggestion is to not over analyze it. A dream is just a dream and it doesn't have to have any real meaning. Because his lips were cold, I would say that signifies that any relationship you have with him, beyond a friend would also be cold and it's not worth risking your friendship or your job over.

The kiss represents the feelings you're stifling for him; the cold represents the kibosh your head is trying to put on it.

All together, I wouldn't read too much into it.

Just maybe....

Maybe you were feeling that he is "hot" and you are enticed by him on one hand, but subconsciously you know that he is very cold emotionally or spiritually, hence his "lips were cold...like a steel bar is during winter."
