All you need is the study guides for the PTCB test. Read those and study study study. That is how I did it. I went and took the PTCB and passed and then registered with my state and got a job. Good luck!!!

I didn't realize that a person can get certified as a pharmacy technician without attending a training program. Apparently one can as the other postee mentioned. For me, I would feel more competent and secure with my abilities by having gone to an actual class setting so that I could ask questions to the instructor and hear other questions from fellow classmates. I do realize that the programs are not always so affordable though. Good luck!

I am in school for that right now. If you already work in a pharmacy the state board test wont be that hard for you. I would buy a study guide book. Any of the local colleges that offer the pharmacy tech program should have the certification exam book. It is 60 dollars though.
