That a little weird since Quicktime comes with iTunes and without iTunes your iPod can't work either. Try downloading it at http://www.itunes.com, when you install iTunes quictime will install too.
If it doesn work out well then go to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ and download it as a standalone.

Quicktime Is Apples Video Player. Its used widely on most web pages to display videos. Its a free downloadable program.
