How can people not know who Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello and Crosby, Stills and Nash are?
Those are some very famous musicians I know not everyone shares my taste in music but knowing who someone like Bob Dylan is pretty basic. People my age know nothing about good music.

I only get annoyed if that younger person doesn't want to know
about earlier musicians or hear them and don't even ask any
questions . My nieces will ask who is singing a special song or
if they see someone on tv will want to know about them. That
in itself can be cool.
Our tastes are different, I love all forms of rock, classic hard
southern and the blues . They like mellow music and country.
I blare hard rock , especially Led Zepplin and they lower it on me.

I know who they are... but I know what you mean, I talk about people like Freddie Mercury and people say "Whos that??" and it shocks the heck out of me!! I am only 23 and I know lots of older musicians but people nowadays are clueless.. they dont know any of the classics. I like to know it all.. as they say make new friends but keep the old, those are silver these are gold... same thing goes for music!

Ps Its a pic of Elvis Costello on your avatar if I am not mistaken..

I agree with you 100%!, hey isn't that Elvis Costello avatar!
I'm a little upset though, how can my favorite Jazz singer/player-Diana Krall would married someone like him, their music is waaay totally different, but now they had the twin boys!, A blessing for both!....your friend Blue.

Yes. I love music but some are musically challenged and I don't mean if they play instruments or not.

i don't get annoyed, i am more sad for them and how they are missing out. it's like history - to understand the now, you have to understand the past.
