well i am going to enter a pagent i dont know what song to sing

Without knowing if you are an alto or soprano; or what the material of choice might be...
My sister sang "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" from the movie The Wizard of Oz with only piano accompaniment and won a music scholarship. Of course she was already All State Solo Contest but that's beside the point. My point is: keep it simple and don't try to do to much with your voice. Allow the natural beauty of your voice to show through. Refrain from using an amateur gimmick and 'trill' every ending because you can't stay on key, as some have.

Sing the song from Dreamgirls. If you've seen the movie, you know which one I'm talking about. It'll win the crowd because they know it, it's fresh in people's minds and it's a great song. Good luck.
