I have this Lightscribe burner & it works really well, it burns the label onto the CD its pretty effective, but only comes on PCs so I don't think you can just buy them seperatly. You also have to buy special CDs its a little more expensive, but it's well worth it!

But Sharpies work, too! Or any permant marker

If you don't mind spending money on a specialty printer than I personally found that on CD printing is the best way to go. I just recently bought an Epson Scanner/Printer/Copier for $140 dollars and it prints directly onto white printable CD's. This allows you to print in full color and black and white, prevents the label from lifting like you generally get from stickers and has a much more professional look. Once you purchase the printer you can get printable CD's for as low as $14.00 for 30 and sometimes less if you buy online in bulk.
