Sorry to tell you but these are the kind of names that make people cringe. Think about what your child will go through with a name like Flame or Phoenix. Yes, its nice to be different, but be realistic and understand that a name is something you have for the rest of your life. Bad baby names can affect a kid's personality and psyche. Think about it before you do this.Get a nice baby name book from Borders and choose a beautiful name, there are so many.

Between Phonix and Flame, I like Flame.
If you intended to type Phoenix (like the city), then I think I like Phoenix.
My son's name is Aidan, which is also means fire (but isn't that different). Other names that mean fire: Azar, Vesta, Kenna

Neither b/c Flame to me reminds me of " Flamin Queen" a guy friend of my cousins and Phonix reminds me of "Hooked on Phonics" What about Phoenix???? Look that up and see what that means...I know it's a bird but research it and see what info you find on it. If I had a girl, I was going to name her Phoenix but since I already got 3, we are not having anymore.Good Luck!!

Phoenix, but spell it correctly. Phonix is spelled wrong and looks like "Hooked on Monkey Phonics".

If I HAD to pick I'd go with Phoenix, Fee or Nix would be a cute nickname. Flame on the other hand, she'll have her stripper name all set.
