Honey you are still young. Although most girls get their period between 11-14 years old, you could start your period anywhere from 8-17 years old.

You could narrow that down by taking clues from your body. During puberty, when your body becomes sexually mature, you'll have some of these changes that show your period's on its way. (By the way, these changes may happen in a different order than listed here.)

Developing Breasts. First, you'll get breast "buds". (Your breasts then can take up to 3-4 years to fully develop.) Generally you will get your period 2-3 years after your breasts start developing.
Growing Pubic Hair. Right after your breasts start to form, you'll start developing pubic hair. It will be soft and thin at first, then gradually become coarser. Your period usually arrives around 1-2 years after the hair development.
Discharge. This is the big sign. You'll start to experience vaginal discharge that will be either white or yellowish. If you like, you may want to start using Alldays Pantiliners to protect you underwear. You period should start around 6-12 (but up to 18) months after the start of discharge.
There's one more way to figure out when you'll start menstruating: Ask your mom. You'll probably get your period within a year or so of when she got hers.

Since you'll only have a general idea of when you'll get your period, you might want to do some planning.

Most girls will use pads at least for their first period. Your first period will probably be fairly light so Always Thin Maxi Regular or Always Thin Ultra Regular would be a good choice of pad. If you are physically small, you may want to consider Always Thin Ultra Slender. It's a good idea to keep a pad or two hidden in your locker at school, and carry another in your backpack. This way you won't be caught off guard when it does happen.

Relax, you will get your period, and you'll have them for a long time!

Everyone is different. Some girls start having their period at 9 or 10, others don't start until 13 or 14. Many do start at around age 12. Your mom still getting her period at 51 is not unusual either; many women don't finish having it until their early fifties. Have you asked your mom how old she was when she started getting her period? Do you feel comfortable talking to her about it? If hers began a little on the late side, yours may too. Just try not to be impatient--within a year or two you and all of your friends will have started!

Everybody's systems are different so don't worry you will start ones of these days. Now if you had your period in the past and was not getting it. That would be a problem. It can take a couple more years yet for you to start. Enjoy your freedom while you can. Cause being a women is a beautiful thing but it also sucks at the same time. Now as for your mom. She will have her's for a few years yet. I think!

You will probably start around the same time your mom did. You will know when you begin to get milky discharge that your period will come soon. Don't worry. You have plenty of time. This article will help you understand.

Everyone starts their period at different times. I started mine at 11, whereas my sister started hers at 15. Dont be in a rush, it isnt that enjoyable anyway!!

Patience is best. If you havent started your period in 5 years then you should be concerned

unfortunately, you will have noway of knowing...there is no "start" date...everyone is different...my wife started hers when she was 7.
many women will tell you that they are a curse..so you might want to enjoy what little mess free time that you have left
also, periods will stop when they want...they are controlled by the same clock as when they start
