I tried for three yrs and then on day I said screw this....and I stopped trying and three months later I was preg with twins!! You are stressing yourself out with all the TRYING. You are putting stress on him and you. We even went to dr to make sure his little men were active and they were. As with anything, stress can play an important Role in everything you do...including sex. Good luck and stop trying and have good love with your mate!

First, you should check your health by Ob/Gyn and he should check his health with his doctor. Second, take prenatal vitamins even before you get pregnant if you are planning for pregnancy. Third if you both are working, even though you insist that both are healthy, you should get some rest to get sperms strong and more relax but active. So, get vacation for a week during the ovulation period. If you are age over 35, the chances are not as 20s ones sometimes and so, your doctor should direct you what exactly you have to be done. Ovualtion calculator is available at www.babynames.com click on info & advice and click on due date calculator. It will show when will be the time of ovulation and count 3 days earlier and 3 days later from that day!
there are many reasons why women don't conceive. I have heard 2 stories the same. Needed more rest and once they took vacation and came back, conceived and success. so, pls try this method if you haven't tried. but always check your health with your doctor before trying anything for the baby's health in the future once you conceived. Good Luck.

The very best way, in my opinion is to chart your fertility signs. Your chart can tell you when you are fertile, when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregnancy. Your chart can also tell you if there are issues delaying conception or causing difficulty w/ carrying a pregnancy and if there are serious issues which need a doc's attention.
Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

Kari gives great info - I totally second all she said. Same goes for what dee4rad says. Stop "trying" and just have fun. Do get to know your cycles tho. I've heard many many success stories when women have read Taking Charge of your Fertility. Good luck!!

We were trying 6 years to get pregnant. Fertility doctor said everything were in great working order for both me and him. We had tried everything from after your sex tilting my pelvis or putting legs on the wall. Keeping my legs propped after sex and not getting up for 2 hours after, ovulation calculators and predictor kits (every single day) and even reading sexual positions that were supposed to help. We finally gave up and decided to adopt. Well, I guess all that trying we were stressing so much. I quit smoking and drinking before because my health and if I ever got pregnant, I thought it was a great habit to break. But, we had sex every day and even got a book that shows positions we never thought were possible. Our sex life was great before, but I think the stress of trying just made it difficult. Before going through the adoption process we found out we were pregnant. I am now 18 weeks pregnant and still plan to adopt when our child is a little older. We did not plan on adopting just because we couldn't get pregnant, but we just thought we couldn't ever get pregnant. I have my first ultrasound in two weeks. *LOL* The first thing my hubby asked when he saw the stick (jokingly of course) was "who's the father?" . I laughed and he laughed because it was so incredible that after trying so hard that after giving up we got pregnant. I am not saying do not keep track of your ovulation cycles, but sometimes unknowingly we can be stressed and it delay getting pregnant. I also found out early in my pregnancy that I had hypothyroidism which can delay getting pregnant, but the doctor said that it was from stress since we didn't have any problems after deciding to adopt.
18 weeks pregnant with first. My hubby is 30 and will be 31 in June and I am 24 and going to be 25 in Aug when my child is due. Yes, we started early, but we were financially sound and married fairly young. We were also emotionally stable.

I read in the paper today that eating ice cream is supposed to help with fertility problems. Seriously. The government did a study on it, they used Ben and Jerry's but they didn't say if one flavor was any more effective than another. I'm really not joking or making light of your situation. I wish you the best of luck....

Good Luck!!!

If you keep having daily intercourse, it will be very difficult to get pregnant, for the sperm need about four days to get mature, then, follow this rule:
Keep having sex during and until five days after your period, stop having sex for five (5) days, on the sixth day do it doggy style and... you're done!

Why would you want to fall pregnant? That sounds painful for you, your baby and anyone you fall on.
