Your BF is only 7 months old? and he has a bb already?

Anyhow. Give him a washcloth that has one corner wettened and frozen to chew on.

Has he always been like this, or just recently?
If it started recently, he could have problems with the cereal... Stop giving it to him for a few days and if he starts feeling better, then the reason was the cereal.
Check that he's not pulling his ears, as this could be a sing of an ear infection.
It could be wind. My brother in law has the perfect method to burp a baby: sit him on your knee, slowly bend him forward, then backward, and at the same time rub his back. This help the gas move, and he'll burp or pass the gas.
Make sure his diaper is not too tight.
Colic is a possibility. There's a number of things you can try to help a baby with colic: I'd put my baby in an infant swing and place her next to the dishwasher; she found the noise soothing. Many babies dind "white noise" soothing because it reminds them of the sounds of the womb. A fan works too.
Also, babies many times find a warm bath relaxing, for the same reason: it reminds them of the womb. It worked for me. Or a ride in the car.
For the teething: try the Hyland's Teething tablets and Tylenol. Let him chew on a cold wash cloth, or a teething ring. "Munchkin" has one that freezes without getting hard, my daughter loves it! Also Oragel is good.
I even rub my daughter's gums with my finger, and it helps a lot.
The rash could be bothering him too, call your pediatrician and talk to him/her, it won't hurt and that's what they're there for.

Good luck with your little one!

It sounds like there could be an underlying problem; it would be best for a doctor to check him out.

I wanted to add that those Hyland's teething tablets are good for more than teething-- they will often calm a fussy baby, relax an overstimulated one so they can fall asleep, relieve mild pain/fever, etc. These are all effects of chammomile, the main homeopathic ingredient.

Also, Hyland's makes a colic remedy just like the teething tabs, that I found very helpful for whatever type of digestive upset seemed to be going on.

Good luck! I hope your unhappy lil' guy feels better soon.

You know he could have gastric problems with his stomach and it is going untreated and unnoticed by your pediatrician. Alot of babies have very delicate intestines and bowels and they cannot digest food easily or regular formula easily. He may have had colic but that should be over by 7 months. It could be a delicate stomach. Also they start teething at that age and he could have been coming down with something. Starting solids at 7 months is O.K. and giving rice cereal is good. Maybe you should change his formula to soy milk or goats milk. Discuss with your pediatrician. My middle son had stomach problems until he was two and he outgrew the problem, but he used to cry with pain every time he drank or ate, lots of gas..it was very frustrating. Then they found that he was lactose intolerant and I had to give him soy milk till he got to be two. Then he was fine. So, discuss with your pediatrician and if you don't feel you are getting answers, go to a pediatric specialist or get some tests done. I wish you well with your baby.

if your going that crazy then put him down in his bed and go outside for 5 minutes or more and calm down. it wont hurt him to cry. try giving him a bedtime bath and then use bedtime lotion and try putting him to bed. maybe he has an allergy to one of his foods. my son has an allergy to soy and it took almost 2 months to figure out because the rection was inside his intestines and so it took a while for it to be aggrivated enough for them to bleed, but he cried and screamed all the time, only happy for very short spurts, but hes fine now that i avoid it 100%. try not to give him food for a couple of days only formula and see if he calms down and if he does then reintroduce everything one at a time a lot slower so you can pin point which caused the problem. give him one food for a week including the rice cereal. for now though does he like the car? does he fall asleep in the car? go for a ride and let him sleep in his carseat in the house when you get back just be very quiet. good luck and im sorry your little boy is so unhappy.

I have found the website www.babycenter.com to be very helpful - when you get to the site go to "Birth Clubs", (http://www.babycenter.com/boards/bcusbirthclubs) then go to the year and month of your baby's birth and ask your same question to the moms on there. Since their babies will all be the same as yours, they might have better insight or be going through the same thing.

Teething can wreak havoc on a baby's sleep, temperature, etc...

And ignore the last poster - your baby is a precious gift!!!

He may be constipated try a over the counter gliserin supository you can get them at wal mart or a pharmacy it really helps them to go. Does he still have fever if so and he continues to scream I would call your doc or go to the ER. Best of luck!

First, every baby is different, even sibilings. I know it can be very frustrating, but I tried this with my son and it work wonders. Have you tried a vibrating chair for him to sleep on? My son went to a stage similar to that, so we started putting him to sleep with soothing music and in his vibrating chair and it work. He could not be eating because he is not resting enough.

Give him a infant tylenol and see if he settles down. It sounds like he is uncomfortable with teething.
Put an update in so we will know how it is going.

Get the baby to a doctor, maybe there is somethign wrong with his stomach. And if its just teething buy the teething rings that you can freeze.
Also, next time please reread what you wrote so it makes sense.
