When I was in Korea they all seemed to think they were a separate people from the rest of the world. Filipinos are very mixed up racially but are closer to pacific islanders than Asians.

in my humble opinion
the big three, as agreed by some, are:
chinese, korean, japanese
being viet, i would add vietnamese^^
many filipinos and non-filipinos considered filipinos, to be pacific islanders, partly perhaps cuz of their interaction with europe... also, filipinos tend to look more southeast asian, as oppose to the relatively-lighter skin color and heavy-industrialized asian countries

philippines and korea are both in asia, thats why they are asians japanese vietnamese chinese etc are consider asian too. im a filipino myself from philippines interms of appearance filipinos have brown skin, bigger eyes,i think shorter than koreans

They are all Asians... Asia is a continent not a country. I am so tired of people asking so are you from Asia or Middle East..... look at a map...no offense. ( sorry it just makes me kind of mad that people still don't know what countries are in Asia.)
