I am a mother of 6...count your blessings. Only 2 of my kids did that. Do not worry. Your child is fine and you should enjoy the quite time while you can.

My little guy was 11lbs 6 ozs at birth and he did exactly the same thing. Like you I was concerned but my Dr. advised me to count my blessings and let him sleep. He started sleeping through the night very very soon and I was told not to worry. Even now at 7 months old it is unusal for him to take more than 4 ounces of breastmilk every three hours or so. As far as I can tell we are just really lucky well rested mommy's... enjoy it!

my oldest was almost 11 lbs at birth and he did the same thing. He is probably just going through growth spurt. My youngest is almost 8 months and is doing That again. He just went through a growth spurt less than 2 months ago and he is again he is now in 18 month clothes. Both of mine would sleep a lot when they were growing that's what my doctor told me too

My mother-in-law always tells me, when I freak out over thinking that my kids are sleeping too much, that they are going through a growth spurt. So as long as he is waking up reguarly to eat I say count your blessings and rest as much as you can. Because you can bet it won't last long.

Count your blessings...your little one will eat when he's ready. My baby did the same exact thing & she's thriving. Sounds like your child is too. Good luck!

I have twin girls, and whenever they would go through growth spurts, my oldest would act just like what you're describing and my youngest would do the oppisite and eat all the time. If it lasts to long, or you're worried, just talk to your pediatrician. Always trust your gut instinct, you're his mother you're going to know best.

My son did that too, my doctor said that babies tend to sleep more and eat less when they are growing.

Is your baby's sink yellowy? Your baby may have developed jaundice. You talk to your baby's Ped. You need professional advice. I would be concerned. Good luck.
