Scramble egg. I'm guessing that people have cook eggs as long as they knew how to look for eggs and start a fire, but pans didn't show up for some time after that.

The question isn't specific enough. First off, are we talking about a chicken egg? If we're not talking about specifically chicken eggs, then eggs definitely came first, because nearly every animal hatches from an egg of some sort.

However, if we're talking about a chicken egg, then the answer of the question is based on your definition of "Chicken Egg."

A chicken egg is either:
a) An egg laid by a chicken
b) An egg that contains a chicken embryo
c) An egg laid by a chicken that contains a chicken embryo

If your definition is "a," an egg laid by a chicken, then the answer to the question would be that a chicken came first. The only way there could be a chicken egg, according to your definition, is if a chicken laid it. So, the chicken came first.

If your definition is "b," an egg that contains a chicken embryo, then the answer to the question would be that the egg came first. An ancestory of the chicken, that through evolution, was very chicken-like, but not fully a chicken, laid the egg that contained an embryo of what is the first chicken.

If your definition is "c," an egg that was laid by a chicken and contains a chicken embryo, then the answer is a chicken. A very close ancestory of the chicken laid an egg that contained a chicken embryo (but wasn't laid by a chicken). Out came the first chicken, who then laid an egg that would be considered the first chicken egg.

Scrambled eggs came long before pan-fried chicken. It was easier and faster to cook. There were probably more eggs to scramble than chickens to fry.

Hey, I actually am one of those geeks who read every word of the questions....I did not need you screaming at me...lol
You must cook the chicken to the almost done mark before you cook the scrambled eggs. You don't want cold chicken with hot eggs, do you? Enjoy ssshhhhh I can hear you! lol lol

The egg is a product of the chicken , and the chicken is a product of the egg so if both are products within themselves ,both are the same and if both are the same none can be First or last , both are the same just at different stages of time, just like a baby becomes a father later in life the father then will bear a baby so is a continuos cycle..like a circle..it never ends..birds came from dinosaurs , evolution ,but there was not beggining because the begining will be the end of one cycle to the next..forever and ever..so there are no firsts

Obviously the chicken came first cause an egg is the end product of sexual reproduction in which it needs a male and female chicken. So if you back to the theory of something multi celled organisms formed the chicken. Maybe evolution.

Chicken.
God created everything in this world, from flying creatures to crawling creatures. These creatures are described by their way of movement. Plants and trees too which danced and swayed with the wind blows till these plants bear fruits and endowed the earth further with their seeds.

Where does an egg fit into these descriptions if it did come first?

If I am God, I will not make an egg first because it might not be hatched due to it cannot move and protect itself from the dangers of the environment & living things. Say 100% exposure to danger/crushed by the mobile animals and cannot undergo its development to become a chicken and eventually lay eggs.

Logically, a chicken should be first since it has the mobility to avoid danger/s paused by the environment and co-existing living things. Therefore a chicken surely can multiply to lay eggs and protect it from dangers of the environment.

So that's Chicken first to multiply through laying eggs!! Satisfied? Yes you should be!!!
