You will have the luxury of living within easy distance to
San Diego. You will pay less for housing in San Ysidro. If you are not a xenophobic snob, you could be happy in San Ysidro.

I wouldn't live there. It's a border town.
The majority of the population is from the border.
It's not a great place to live.
I'd rather go 5-7 miles north of the border, but to each there own.

You are right on the border there. I haven't been there in several years, but if I remember correctly I wouldn't buy a home or live there. Go a little further north and I think you would be happier.
