Your outward appearance affects peoples ideas of who you are.
Try going to a new car lot looking like a poor man then try another dressed like an executive. You'll see the difference. Women who dress overly revealing usually never get taken seriously either or adults that dress too young. So yes your clothes affect your communication skills.
