I just never see any paparazzi shots of the african american celebritites getting coffee with their significant other, or photos of them walking across the street with their spouse, kid(s), and puppy. I always see stuff like Katie and Tom skating, Apple and Gwyneth walking in the park or Paris being a social socialite.

Because the mojority of people who read those magazines are white women and the celebrities they emulate also happen to be white. Believe it or not, a lot of people still believe it's easier to relate to people of your same race because they look like you and must have something in common.

They are featured all the time. Are you a subscriber? If not, you can't speak to this. Unless you are going through every magazine I think you are approaching this wrong. I have seen Will Smith and his wife Jada and kids in Star a lot. Black celebrities certainly appear in star all the time. Please remember that Nicole Richie is there all the time. Mariah Carey as well as frequently Halle Berry who was shown grocery shopping in one magazine then another showing her wearing the same outfit at two different times to try to prove she was pregnant.

If you were to look at the demographic of readers on ALL of the general celebrity magazines (People, Us, Star, OK!, Life & Style and a few others) Star magazine has the greatest percentage of black readers. A market I am sure the folks at Star know about and don't want to lose by offending.....

Lastly - except for maybe Gwyneth Paltrow - the other folks you mentioned are into such blatant self promotion they do whatever they can to stay in the headlines. Also whomever the media deems worthy as well as mysterious gets the photos taken of them. Paris Hilton would be if we all didn't buy into it.....if magazine sales went down when she was on the cover - she wouldn't be there anymore....

There are some African American celebrities that are featured in the Stars magazines. I am not sure why u said they r not allowed in the Stars magazines. But I have 2 admit that they are more white Americans then African Americans featured on the magazine. Not 2 be racist or anything rude.

It probably has to do with the general reading audiences of a publication and who's in the spotlight at the moment.
Check out Jet magazine....you'll find alot of black celebrities there with no katie, tom, apple, gwyneth or paris walking with their spouse, kids or puppies.

particular, because of the fact they're racists, that could look some peoples solutions. incredibly, i think of because of the fact there are extra white celebrities than black, and perhaps the few blacks are not out doing stupid stuff mutually with Britney, Paris or Nikki.

Two certain people actually scare the paparazzi.....and they are...

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson

Heaven forbid that the camera not catch them in the right light, or better yet, catch them doing something normal and have it twisted around to be a "racist picture"

There are some celebrities that always seem to appear, but i think there are some African Americans in that group. Beyonce and Jamie Foxx always seem to be in there.
