Is there any difference in 1st and 2nd generation iPods? I am wanting to buy a "skin" for mine, and the one I want says for 1st generations and mine is a 2nd one, so I was wondering if there was a difference.

There really is no difference in the 1st & 2nd generation modals. The colors are just different colors. Personally I think that the 2nd generation is better in quality than the old ones. My friend owns on of the 1at generation ipods & hers doesn't work as well as my 2nd. Also the 1st generation ipods are a little bigger & only come in black & white. Whereas the 2nd comes in blue, green, pink, red, & silver for nanos. But Videos come in white & black also

If you want a skin, it doesn't matter. If the shapes of the two are still the same you can put a skin on there, and yeah the shapes dont change, unless its a nano, the nano's have gotten way smaller. Good Luck finding a skin.

the first gen was a little bigger and only in two colors black and white. Now a little smaller and a few colors.
