If you can not tell by looking at it, the easiest way is to watch the ferret go to the bathroom. If the feces and urine come out in the same area, it is a female. If the urine comes out further up the stomach than the feces, it is a male. Sexing ferrets is very easy. You should be able to tell easily just by flipping the ferret over and looking at its privates. The female will have all her parts down low, the male will have one low, and one by his bellybutton area. Hope this helps.

This is a difficult situation. Different sex drives can really put a strain on a relationship. You're never obligated to have sex, and I'm not saying you should do anything you don't want to, but it is important that you understand your boyfriend's feelings. I know sex isn't a big deal for you, but it probably is a big deal for him, and you can't discount that. I know that I personally would not be happy in a relationship where we only had sex once a week. In my last relationship, we would usually do it more than once a night. You should have a talk with him and try to reach some kind of conclusion that makes both of you happy. He may have to settle for less sex than he wants, but if you really value the relationship, you should be willing to make compromises also. Is there anything that you or he could do to make sex more enjoyable for you? More foreplay, different positions, anything? Sex should be something you both take pleasure in. Just understand that while you may be perfectly happy not having much sex, he clearly isn't, and I can tell you from experience how much less happy someone can become in a relationship when they aren't satisfied sexually. Best of luck!

This is real easy on ferrets.

Male ferrets penis is up on their belly. Sort of like where a male dog's penis is.

Female's vulvas are down between their back legs.

So, if there are two holes down between the back legs, it is a female. If there is only one between the back legs and a hole on the belly, it is a male.

female- two holes- one anus one vagina. Males- one hole and they have a penis sticking out of their lower abdomen. Males are also twice to three times the size of females (females 1-2lbs, males 2-6)
