I've only done this once. You jump tandem; the instructor, that you're attached to, told me this "cross your arms in the front, close your eyes and tip your head back". I was also told, by a person who had jumped three times, you must bend your legs (like you're ready to walk on your knees) because leaving them straight causes drag.
After you've jumped 1,200 times - you can then jump solo and I don't know what rules they must follow.
