okay! now im desperate to know any website that has videos to show me how to belly dance! i don't want to go to a class to do it because of how much money it costs. besides, im too shy to do it in front of people. HELP PLZ! (please dont give dinky answers)

If you want to learn true belly dance, you must find dvd's from lebanon , egypt or turkey. Those belly dancers are the best in the world. If you lin ethem up next to the belly dancers we have here in the states it would be no comparison.

as sad as this may sound, i was searching for it too.. I am a single parent and i was looking for some exercise routine that is fun that will get me back in shape and guess what?? if you have comcast, go to channel 1 (on demand) then go to fitness, then go to dancing and they have a few different lessons there.They are fun to do and while i do them, i'm not even concentrating on exercising, but by the time i am done, i am sweating lol.. or maybe you can go to the library and pick up an instrutional tape..or even your local bookstore..good luck!!

Kathy Smith has a DVD out that's pretty good. You can pick it up for CHEAP. Mine was I think 15 bucks, and I still use it! My bellydance instructor used it for one class because she threw out her back and couldnt' teach. We loved it!
Neena and Veena are really good, but they're more expensive and get irritating after a while because it's all voiced over. Kathy Smith isn't voiced over.
