Like you never meant it to happen but it did. You'll most likely never meet the person but you can't help but wonder what if? I feel somewhat guilty but clean at the same time. I haven't actually done anything about it, how can I, he is a continenty away. Just wondering if it is normal to fall hard for someone in this forum.

Well, the person that I was partnered with fell hard for someone they talked to online. We were together for 51/2 years. Notice I said "were". He decided to fly out there to meet a "friend" and never came back.
It hurt for months. I would never do that to anyone I love. If love isn't there anymore with your partner, I recommend breaking up with him first.

I have met people on line and fell way too hard, 3 1/2 years hard. Finally got to meet the person, only to be told he was not the one I talked to.

It has never happened to me. I don't think it is possible to fall for someone you have never met. You are after all just knowing what they are telling you, not spending time getting to know the person. And they can tell you anything they want. It is a fantasy. One must spend time with an individual in-order to fall in love, you would need to know who that person is. God bless****
