Yes, actually I had a crush on my best friend. At the time, she was unsure of her sexuality, but then I asked her out, and I guess the prospect of actually being in a relationship with another girl made her realize she wasn't as attracted to girls as she had thought she was.
I'm not sure what to tell you about your friend and whether or not she likes you. If she's straight it doesn't make much sense for her to show signs of liking you. Does she know you like girls? This may influence how she acts around you.

Yeah. There's this girl that lives down the hall from me. She says she's straight, but she gets all nervous around me and all shy. But, she doesn't do that to other people. I think it's cause she likes me. But, I can't really find out because I can't get her to stop being so damn shy around me. Anyway, it's a ***** because she's always in the hall. I can hear her voice. Hear her laughing with other people. I wish I could make her laugh like that. *sigh* But, oh well, such is life.

I like a girl that told me that she is bi and then a couple of months of me flirting later told me she didn't think that she was bisexual enough to actually have a relationship with a member of the same sex. sucks huh? Then it got more mixed because she got sloshed at a party and kissed me!
Good luck!

Sadly yes... It's especially heartbreaking when the person plays games and flirts with you. Try not to let her mess with your heart like that.Know that there are plenty of lez girls that would love to go out with you and will not play that game.
I think I'm older than you and sadly grown a$$$ women play this stupid hurtful game too.

Wow babe, think we all go through this. I looked at a girl today and just went wow she is so nice, she was obviously straight but I couldnt help wanting her. Perhaps your friend is bi and wants you but is frightnened to say. We are not all brave and come out with it.

yeah,
but i wondered why she wouldn't go out with me,
and i asked her freinds, like if she had a bowfriend, or she didn't like me, etc, and they said she was a lesbian.
i was suprised.
this was in middle school,
and now, in high school, i see how obviuos it was. (i wasn't very perceptive back in the day)
