I'm hoping that a lot of these people on both sides are paid to spout the partisan nonsense that they do. At least that would mean they werent *total* idiots.

By partisan nonsense I mean extreme, baseless, accusatory mudslinging, usually so blatantly ignorant in appearance so as to suggest a deliberate contortion of the facts.

Good question....I would hate to know the kind of person that would accept money to sling mud at people, it's bad enough when they do it for their own misguided beliefs.

You misused "proportion" and "contortion". Proportion is relative, it has to be in proportion to something else. You needed to say "in proportion to the answers given by general society, etc." It needs a follow up or else it remains an incomplete idea. Contortion is self inflicted, so to speak, you cannot "contort" something. "twisting of the facts" would have flowed better. I understood what you were trying to say, but your attempted use of complex sentence structure and 10 cent words to make yourself seem smarter had the opposite, ironically adverse, effect.

No pay for partisans , I'm afraid it's just a bunch of poorly informed , &/or frightened folks who sling hatred because they aren't sharp enough to debate & discuss in a rational manner.
Thankfully there are plenty of well reasoned folks too, who can agree to disagree at times, realizing we are all Americans & want this to be a better place.

While I can't disagree with you in terms of mindless partisan content, I don't think either party is stupid enough to pay out "hard earned" campaign dollars to propagandize on Yahoo Answers.

Actually if it was just paid propagandists it would make more sense.

i don't believe any party supports this site with paid propagandist but yahoo having paid answerers to stimulate the site...quite possibly true.
