The AARP is second largest lobbying group in the country. The only group that lobbies more is the ABA (American Bar Association aka the lawyers).

No , the fact they are tax paying , law abiding citizens allows them the privilege to drive!!

Are you saying folks that age should be prohibited from driving?? On what basis?? Because they drive slower than you? They have better manners than you? They are more cautious & deliberate in their actions?

What's next folks over 77 don't get to vote anymore in your world?

C'mon what is your reasoning?? AARP does serve as a lobbying group to support the interests of seniors, but this one just doesn't need any support at this time. If the state deems a person unfit to drive AT ANY AGE, they take their license.

Sooooooo - you think that people age 77 and older can't drive?

Just FYI: the age group of 16 to 20 and 70 plus are the groups that have the most accidents according to insurance statistics in 2003....so I guess that means the 16 to 20 years old shouldn't be allowed either,,,right?

While it is true that some seniors lose their driving edge as they grow older, it is also true that most do not. So you can't paint them all with the same brush.

Interestingly, th 16-20 year olds have the most accidents caused by alcohol and drugs.......
