Is it really possible to put diffrent types of games on your iPod?

I heard that you can, but by cracking open your iPod and adding some chip or something. Do you know anything about this?
I see videos of people playing counter strike and Mario on the iPod. I would love to play those on my iPod. Please Answer. :]

i wouldnt recomend it though.

i read somewhere that you can actually get sued for doing such a thing
