most states the age is 16 but georgia's legal age is 16 for consent.

There isn't anything under 16, and if the other person is more then five year older then the 16 year old in question, then that person can be charged with statuary rape (child rape), by the parents or guardians.
Trust me on this one whether your writing a story or not, it is not a good idea for a child or teenager to be thinking about sex. Too many things can happen. I know a number of teens who learned the hard way. It is better to wait until your ready and have a few years of college under your belt, or what's even better is to wait until marriage.
