Supposedly we are shifting or have shifted from The Age of Pisces. 2000 yrs of Jesus. Pisces the Fish, Christianity the Fish. The Age of Ares for 2000 yrs before that was an era of warfare. Seems to fit rather well.
Aquarians are airy and fixed. Ruled by Uranus and Chronos or Saturn.
Uranus is associated with sudden, dramatic and surprising changes that could not have been anticipated. I think we are in that sort of era now. The weird and wonderful seems now commonplace. We take tremendous technological leaps for granted (Aquarius is associated with technological innovation. The Television is a quintessential Aquarian advance. The symbol for Uranus is derived from the initial of the discoverer of Uranus-Herschel-and you can't get anything more like a tv aerial than that)
Very interesting the mythological basis for Astrology. Sagittarius equates with Zeus or Jupiter whose mother saved him from being eaten by Chronos (Capricorn). After Sagittarius the Signs are all derived from Titan deities. Titans are beings who existed before the Olympian Gods. The Titans equate with myths of giants.
Please don't take the above as Gospel. I only have a very shallow understanding of Astrology. Realised I might have mispelt Aries for example or not spelt it in the accepted way. I also apologise to American English users. I am just used to the way I learnt to spell when I grew up. Ta

As the Earth spins on it's axis it wobbles like a top. This wobble causes the position of the sun relative to the stars on the day of the vernal equinox to change every 2,200 years approximately. This is an age.
Right now the equinox takes place in Pisces a sign of worry and well all the messes we have now. Vernal equinox in Aquarius is supposed to be a lot more peace love happy as I understand it.

It's supposed to be the age of advancement, whether science wise or another field.
