*rolls eyes*
I just got home from an outing with my mom.
She definitely thinks I push people away. She kept lecturing me on how if I hate the world, nothing good will ever come to me. And all this other crap that I've heard a thousands times before.
But yes, I must agree with her. I do push people away. I haven't met anyone that I've ever been truly comfortable with to the point of really sharing myself with. I don't think I want to either. Maybe it will be different when I meet the 'right' person. But sometimes I think I have met the right person but the timing was all wrong. That experience makes me want to keep me closed up forever.

I'm careful with how close I let people, but I don't actively push them away.

Well, that would be rude, wouldn't it?
Lame joke--yes, sometimes I do. Whenever I feel the 'more-than-friends' feeling with a member of the opposite sex. (No, I'm not a lesbian.)
Beware of love.
