OK. Earlier today at school one of my best buds told me something awkward. He said that he's been hearing some kind of long beep (or however you call it) a lot in his head. He described the sound as if it were like the sounds of "Unknown Origins" in the game known as "F.E.A.R." or at when you start up the game that one sound you hear showing some fine print or however you call it ("/). He said it sounded like that. I myself don't believe that cause I have never heard a sound like that in MY head. Is there a reason why he's hearin' that kind of stuff in his head and not mine? Yes, I know it sounds a little weird but that's what he said. (Sorry if you think the category is sort of off-topic. It's as close as I can think of.)

there is a condition which I have called tinnitus its a ringing or prolonged beeping in your ears. he may have developed that. Theres really nothing that can be done for it at the time that I know of, it's not life threatening just annoying.

He needs to see a doctor. This could be tinnitis. I used to work in a large office that all you could her was typing. Then one day I started to hear it in my head when I wasn't even at work. I didn't do anything about it or tell anyone and eventually it went away, but since then I have heard of this and it can be treated. Tell him not to wait, because although it may go away on its own, it may not and it could even get worse. At the least, it's extremely annoying.
