The concentration camps were real.
I'm not familiar with the numbers slide that you mention, but how few is too few to call it a genocide?

Maybe the numbers are a bit inflated (although I've never seen a number as low as a million anywhere, so that sounds wrong to me), but the Holocaust definitely happened and it definitely was a holocaust.
However... I think that people forget about all of the other holocausts (little h) that have ocurred that were equal or larger in scope than the Jewish holocaust. The Irish holocaust by the British in the 1840s, the Armenian genocide of WWI, the one in Cambodia under PolPot, the holocaust in East Timor... what's happening right now in the Sudan.
For some reason people use Holocuast (capital H) for the genocide perpetrated by the Nazis, belittling the other genocides that have ocurred in history.
As evil as the Nazi one was, people forget about the other ones or demean them by making it an uppercase Holocaust (by itself).

What the hell?
Oh yeah, "only" 2,000 people died in 9/11. If THAT is horrible and beyond comprehesion, imagine 1 MILLION. Geezzz.
That's probably everyone you'ver ever SEEN. Not even met, or even know. Ever seen.
Imagine walking down the street and everyone else just dropped dead. Went in the store, everyone dead. I imagine one day would be enough. Now make that your whole LIFE. That's your 1 million. And multiply that by SIX.
It's not about the numbers. The numbers are horrible, yes, but the hateful motive behind them is what disgusts people.

Hell yeah the Holocaust was real. You think the Jews in Hitler's Germany just went somewhere else. Hitler really did hate Jews he killed alot of people. Hitler believe the Aryan race was better in all categories(i.e. better looking, ran faster, the chosen race, etc.) than any other races. Which I believe is ridiculous no race is better than any other. Every race has the good and bad.
And the Holocaust is not a myth and should never be considered a myth. That is very disrespectful to Jews.

It is still classified as A holocaust because it was referred to by those outside of the incident as THE Holocaust. Also the name pertains not only to those killed but the tortured, mistreated, discriminated against, and negitively effected. I do not think that even the Red Cross is willing to count into those numbers.

The international Red Cross has done no such thing.
Numbers have not been revised downwards by anyone other than devout bigots.
The evidence of the holocaust is more than overwhelming. We have hundreds of thousands of pages of german documentation (they were quite fastidious about that), films, photos, eyewitness accounts, etc, etc.
No- it really was 6 million people.
In fact- because of the awareness of such antisemitism, there are laws in Germany and Austria against what you have posted. Denial of the holocaust is considered a crime. And- it wasn't jews that enacted this law (they were all dead).

For the record - are you saying that even one million Jews murdered don't matter? As if Six Million, might but drop it to one million and its acceptable? And I would suppose less than that is nothing?
I don't know where you got your figures but the Red Cross did not lower the numbers to 1 million. You're buying into the MUSLIM Myth perpetuated by people like the President of Iran who admired Hitler and his tactics. It was Muslims who were recruited by Hitler to help extinguish the Jews.., again., for the record.

Half of the people killed in the Holocaust were the Jews.
The other half of the people killed were Homosexuals, Christian groups that disagree with the Nazi (eg. Jehovah's Witnesses), Gypsies, Handicaps (mental or phyiscal), Political prisoners, some Catholic and Protestant clergy, etc.
Basically anyone the Nazi wanted to disappear. The numbers of people killed were in the millions.

According to a number of former Nazi officers and soldiers it was quite real. Most that I have talked to over the years have thought that the numbers were far too conservative and one even told me that he thought the numbers were probably closer to 8 or 9 million. Of course he followed that with a comment about any number less than all of them was too small for his tastes...but then..that was to be expected. There is far too much documentation on both sides to consider that it might have been anything less than what it was...an attempt at genocide.

There were more than just Jews who died in the Holocaust. There were also political dissidents, gypsies, hhomosexuals, and just about anyone who had something bad to say about the Hitler regime.
Thing is, a lot of people died under the rule of one hand, which makes it a holocaust. Much like that scumbag Stalin, who killed MILLIONS of people in his own neighborhood for years before Hitler popped up.

NO! im not usually bothered by this thing, becasue i jsut call 'non-believers' stupid and blow it off. But the fact that your actually asking a question on wether or not there were actaully 11 million people killed or not, thats jsut ignorant. of course. they have estimated numbers of around 6 millio jews and 5 million of various homosexuals, gypsies, elderly and injured people. there is soo much evdence that simply proves without question that this horror happened, and its people like you and whoever you're getting your false information from that give this a chance of letting it happen again. The less informed people are about it, the more they forget. and history has a way easier chance of repeeating itself.
