If she is looking for more than pureed food that should be fine. Babies can chew without teeth just dont expect her to be eating roast dinners. Also make sure it is reasonably soft so she does not choke! Good snacks are pieces of bananna, tomato, cheese etc but nothing like carrots and grapes as these are a cholinjg hazard!

As a mom of 3 i would say shes still a bit to young for any real table food. You might try some mushed up bananas or that type of thing. but anything that wont dissolve in her moth is a bad idea. Some people recommend bread and or biter/teething biscuits and my pediatrician also would say NO NO NO she can't chew thous yet and could choke, Give her a few more months b/f you try thous. I would recommend sticking to formula/breast-milk and baby food for a few more months. But all and all its your choice. Maybe talking to your family doctor/ pediatrician would help you make the decision that's best for you and your daughter. Good luck

Your child is old enough to have certain table foods. My doctor told me not to give my kids baby cereal or baby food until they were 5 or 6 months old. I didnt listen to them. My babies were hungry, because they were only getting milk. When I fed them that baby cereal they slept better, because they were fuller. I started giving my babies soft food to start until they started getting teeth. I gave them one thing at a time for a few days to make sure they didn't have an allergic reaction to a certain food, then I would try something else a few days later. You do what you think is best for your baby. If you think your baby is ready for table food try her on it. I did what I thought was best and there is nothing wrong with my kids. Baby snacks would be alright to try on her. They have those soft cookies for babies with no teeth.

Babies are really not as fragile as we think. At 7 months old and with no teeth it is okay to give the baby some table food but, not everything. For example mashed potatoes are very soft and easy to digest, smashed bananas are very soft, jello is very soft, babies love ice cream.I started giving my grandson ice cream and most soft foods at 3 months old.It is okay to give some table food that is soft also alternate with the baby food.As for snacks ice cream, jello, puddings, smashed bananas and even cookies(which they will suck till it is soft) but children love that with or without teeth.

Not to much table food until a year old, but Cheerios are good even with no teeth, I wouldn't push it to much your baby has plenty of time for that when he/she has teeth, and nothing to woory about. I have been told you can't choke on a cheerio though. Good Luck!

My kids didn't have teeth at that age either, but did enjoy table food. I would mash bananas and cooked carrots and other veg. with a fork till they were very squished. I would also grind up the meat and veg. in a special baby food grinder.

If she can't chew, she could CHOKE. Also, if babies are fed different foods too early, they can develop allergies to them. To get a time table for what your baby can eat, ask the baby's doctor, its the best thing. Better safe than sorry.

7 months she should still be having formula/some baby foods..at that age you are at a grey line..but def not table foods..start her on green beans (not alot of seasoning) and foods like that at about 10-11 mths. you have to move them slowly. gerber baby snacks probably 8-9 months. good luck!

My pediatrician told me that you should hold off table foods until 10 months. You could try the biter biscuits for snacks.

I didn't give my daughter "baby" food from the store other than the cereals. All of her fruits, vegetables, meats and pastas came from our table. I just ran them through the food processor. .
