This is going to sound cruel and I've only seen it on other homes, but take a piece of plywood cut to fit the top of your ac unit, hammer as many nails all the way into it and then install it upside down, pointed ends up, the pigeons won't stay there if they can't sit there. Please do this as a last resort and people please don't give me S**T for my answer, I don't condone animal cruelty, it's just a suggestion.

I have use both the chicken wire and the mails in a board on my roof. Both worked to a degree. I also added decon rat poison. The poison worked the best. Sorry it was them or get a new ac.

your best bet would be install a spike system depending on width may need acouple rows.
other alternatives are daddy long legs, hot foot, 4 the birds, owl, avitrol, flight. etc list goes on.
Most products are only available to licensed pest operators.

well those little buggers....
we tried the owls and decon together.It took care of it but they didnt seem as bad as yours!
But I think its still worth a try. short of standing ontop of your house swinging a bat........I think I saw that on a Drew Carey episode, lol

Put up chicken wire and enclose the whole area.
