I am going to have to go with Joe Horn because he was the leader of that team and he did so much for New Orleans. What do you think?

GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree about Joey Porter being more important to the team because he is one of the best linebackers in the game today and brings passion to his game.

Sal S, the day Peyton Manning is overrated is the day hell freezes over.

I agree with you Michael, Troy Palamano is to Pittsburgh to what Bob Sanders is to Indianapolis (my hometown).

Porter he was the heart and soul of that defense and Horn is getting old and the saints have Colston so that is prolly why they cut him. and Brees was the leader of that them anyway

I would definately say Porter, Yeah Horn was a leader there but they brought in Drew Brees who i think is a natural born leader and with all the young fire power they have at that position and other players on the team being able to play it i think they felt they could use the cap room for Defense and he was becoming injury proned, i mean come on the guy is getting up there in age. Yeah he will be missed in the community more than porter but not on the field. Porter anchored that Pittsburgh D way before Palamalu came along and i dont understand them dropping him because he was a real playmaker and a top player at his position.

Porter...Horn seems to be on the downside of his career now. With the success that Marques Colston had this past year, losing Horn doesn't seem like such a big deal. They didn't spend too much time on the field together so it's not like Colston's going to have to adjust to any sort of double-coverage or anything like that.

Porter was the leader of the Steelers defense and I don't think ANYBODY thought Porter was going to get cut. He'll get good money from some team willing to pay.

People up here in the Burgh, aka Pittsburgh's ESPN Radio, have been talking about Joey Porter being cut for about a year now. He was Cowhers best friend; no more Cowher, and hes over paid. Troy is the best player on defense, maybe the team, and they need the money to give him a long term deal. Besides the fact that Farrior calls the plays in the defensive huddle, not Porter. He wasnt the leader, just a comical/ homophobic voice. Therefore, i give it to Joe " why am i hurt every year" Horn.

Tough question, but more shocking to me would have to be joey porter. Only because of the fact that horn was hurt late in the season and maybe the saints feel that since he's pretty old he won't get back to full potential. Porter, but close call.

I'd say Porter, he is much more important to the Pittsburgh D than Horn is to the Saints O. The Saints are developing 3 good, young WR and, face it, Horn's production has fallen and age is starting to take it's toll with injuries.

I would say Joey Porter. He is still relatively young, playing at a high level and a team leader as well. He lead the team in sacks, but had a big mouth.

Both were shocking but Porter was more shocking because I had heard rumors that Horn may have been getting cut. I thought they were false but I was wrong and surprised that they actually cut him but I didnt see Porter being cut coming at all.

anyone who didn't see the porter cut coming didn't have their eyes open the way the steelers operate they sign their players to a new contract a year before their contract is up so we who are true steelers fans knew that it was coming whether we liked it or not c'mon guys if you are steelers fans like u say u are you should know stuff like that by now. as for Joe Horn who gives a care?
