older does not mean wiser...some are some are not.

I know 40yr olds who smoked pot for the past 25years and are not sure what year it is....not wise

i know 40yr olds who learned for the mistakes they made in life and from the good things, who are open and understanding but not judgmental....very wise

In a lot of circumstances, of course the answer is yes. 40 yr old has been there, done that.

Most 20 year olds really don't have enough life experience on most issues.

Every now and then you find a REALLY sheltered 40 year old, but in the overwhelming number of cases, the 40 yr old's gonna be a lot wiser than a 20 yr old. Except possibly Buddha when he was 20.

I would say yes. As some one in her 40's...I have more wisdom than I did in my mid-20's.

no not at all. wisdom comes from an individuals ability to asses situations and retain information learned from it, and use it in a productive way later, any age can have wisdom. don't underestimate by years. true the experience isn't there for younger people in a lot of cases but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. over all wisdom is more of an emotional maturity than anything else.

That question does not have an easy answer. Some people become wiser as they become older, some do not. There are some very intelligent people in their twenties and there are a whole lot of 20 something's that think they know it all but don't really know much. It is not until they are much older that they can look back and realize how ignorant they were at the time.

not necessarily, it is all about experiences and the way you were brought up. a person in his 20s can be very Maure for their age, while a person in their 40s can be immature for their age....personally, i believe it is because they have not been through life struggles and life changes, so therefor they don't learn or grow up...but definitely a person who is 20 or 26 can "have the mind of a 40 or 46 year old" it all depends, everybody is different!

hope this helps

Of course! Age brings wisdom. The longer you live, the more that you experience and learn......believe me, I am older now (older than 40) and I am soooooo much wiser than I was when I was in my 20's.....and you know what? It is great!!!

Only if age equals wisdom. If experience equals wisdom it changes.

I have known a few very wise, very experienced 20 somethings. I have also known some very stupid, very uneducated and unwise 40 somethings.

I'd say they mostly have more wisdom...mostly lol.

Of course, I'm in my mid-20's and I have more sense than some 40-year-olds. ( sorry to brag, but it's true )

It depends on life experince. I've known people who are in their 20's way beyond in years and people in their 40's who have no clue.

Not necessarily... ever watch cops? Some of those hombres are in their 40's. However, a person in their 40's will be more experienced and well-rounded than he/she was when they were in their 20's.
