...and please DON'T answer with something stupid like "ask the Queen"... I've already tried that and she hasn't been quick to reply to my texts lately...

You have to be much more than the "common man," like a high ranking military person (I'm not exactly sure even THEY get invitations, though they might), someone wealthy, someone relatively famous or a personal friend of the family. If you answered no to any of the above with any seriousness, you'll not be receiving one.

You don't "get invited" to a garden party. If the Queen wants you there, you will hear about it.

Become a grea actor, a rockstar, or give your help to really make better the world through charity and you just may get more than cocktails in crackers in the garden....how about "Dame" or "Sir" before your name! (which btw you can even use legally in the US....on your drivers licenses and all)

You can arrange to have anniversary telegrams sent but I sincerely doubt that you can get yourself or anyone else invited to a garden party...

Well, you need to be well known to the queen. In other words, you have to be rich or famous or both.
