start something (a goal) you can be proud of each day. for example, maybe you'd like to work on basketball layups....each day you'll improve, and as you do so, you'll feel better about yourself, and happier!!
another thing is exercise. physical fitness is also linked to the mind, so after you exercise you feel really good - i definitely feel happier! it doesn't even have to be intense exercise
=D hope you feel happier
ps. do not resort to medication - it just leads to dependence and screws with your hormones - the natural way is the best way

Get a dog and a cat.. seriously money really can buy happiness if you spend it on adopting a dog or cat from a shelter. Never will you have such unconditional love as from a pet who has been saved.

Believe in yourself. Learn to laugh. Love others as you would like for them to love you. Think about the good thing and ignore the bad. Do not indulge in self sympathy.

Epictetus (c.55 - c.135 C.E.) said that happiness could be attained by wanting the world to be the way it is. I have always liked his philosophy.
