I want to store clothes, and electronic equipment in a plastic box with lid in a humid storage room. Is there something that I can put in the box that would absorb humidity, or outside the box. Thnaks

You want a dessicant to put in with your items in storage.

Silica gel is a common, safe product. You will often see silica gel packets in prescription medicine bottles, tool packaging, etc.

You can purchase these same size packets for home use. Just do a yahoo search for "Silica Gel Packets" and go shopping.

I use the vaccum seal bags, it works like a charm. I even put my dvd player in a large one and after 6 months it was fine, plugged it in and no problem. My clothes came out still smelling fresh and clean. The pillows puffed right back up!
I also used them in the basement Thankgoodness because it flooded and everything in the vac bags stayed dryed!
