I'm looking for a thinner jacket for outdoor activities in cold (+ 30 to -10F) weather. I'd like something kind of sporty, but I don't want to spend a crazy amount of money. I've been looking at north face, but I'm not sure how warm the jackets are. Let me know if you have any good Ideas.

The north face is pretty good. They can let wind through though in the arms. but they have padding on like the chest so it can't get through there. Mine was $165. But like you can get a man one for like 85.

How chilly? West coast chilly or large white north chilly? I agree that down crammed jackets and wool are the warmest. Layers artwork truly properly too. I spent 1/2 my existence in Quebec the position winters are damn chilly. Seven years in northern Alberta the position temperatures reached -40 C, without the wind relax aspect. Now I proceed to exist Vancouver Island BC and that i in reality placed on a fleece jacket or a rain jacket in wintry climate. so that you've the alternative i wager. It relies upon how warmth you want to be too. Have a reliable one. Cheers! =)

I know a lot of people who have bought the all-seasons type coat from LL Bean. It has a couple of different liners that you can zip in an out depending on the weather.
You can go to LLBean.com and look at the selections.

All of their items have a lifetime warranty, so if you ever have trouble with the coat, it will be repaired or replaced no questions asked.

Good luck and have a good night.
