One of my skirted tetras died this morning. I returned him and got another. Since I added him/her it has been following another around. Are they going to breed and if they do will they kill other skirted tetras that come near them? I dont care if they eat their eggs because I dont want anymore right now. But I dont want any less either!

I seriously doubt you are seeing breeding activity, but it is always possible. More than likely it is simply school behavior at work. If they were to breed they won't harm any other fish in the tank and other white skirts would simply join in. And yes, obviously the eggs would be fair game to any fish in the tank.

Tetras of all species are schooling fish and will follow each other and play nip at each other, 3 or more is a good number to keep them in. They are really fun to have in groups of 6 or more with 2 seprate species of em in a larger tank.
