Just seeing what kind of interest there would be in seeing baseball in Europe.

There simply isn't the supply.

If the World Baseball Classic taught us anything, it's that the caribbean countries and the oriental countries know their baseball. Most of us already knew this, and while latin and hispanic have been playing for years, the oriental players have only been coming lately.

Eventually, another baseball force will show itself, and when that happens, we'll see what happens.

The british are interested in football and cricket. The place that really amazes me more is Jamaica. In the caribbean, look at all the players from their neighbors-Dominican, Cuba etc. But guess what? They drive on the right side there too being a british colony. They play soccer and cricket (oh yeah, and bobsledding LOL) but still you'd think just on locality you'd see a few Rasta ball players. Just goes to show you that it will never change.

Well, since the Europeans seem to have #1: no history of playing and #2: no interest, I'd say NO CHANCE.

They like football (U.S.) and soccer better.

I assume you are lumping the UK in with "Europe". Please don't do that - they are vastly different. For a take on how most citizens of the UK do not consider themselves European, browse the Society and Culture section.

By the way, my analysis goes in general for the UK as well, with the addition that, while they may like Cricket, they generally do not like Baseball - just not their "cup of tea".

I doubt it, they probably play cricket, soccer, or other sports and also most europeans think baseball is a dull sport but I would like to see a European all-star player though.

it truly is a mixture of various factors. it truly is a activity that calls for some area to play so it does no longer translate properly in an inner city ecosystem. it is also no longer a activity the position you'll practice on my own, unlike basketball the position you are able to flow out and shoot hoops by technique of your self. football and basketball also furnish a short music to the pros, and massive funds, so maximum black athletes elect those activities quite than spending various years playing contained in the minor leagues (and drawing a minor league paycheck). finally, baseball is performed at a more suitable sedate %. compared to football and baseball so it would not draw the activity from black athletes that different activities do. i imagine many those who imagine there are truly some black gamers in MLB are complicated darkish-skinned Latino gamers with African American gamers. in accordance to NBC information, only 8.05% of MLB gamers are black, it truly is an rock bottom. Ten of the 30 MLB communities began the season with only one black participant on the roster and 25% of all blacks play for 3 communities: The Yankees, Angels, and Dodgers. contained in the Nineteen Eighties and '90s, about 20% of MLB gamers were black so the game has actual lost some expertise to different activities.
