Calls to talk periodically. Invites you to do stuff, in general. When together he opens up to you about his self. Sharing his life and past experiences. Like same interests as you. Writes you notes, or poems. Cares and thinks about you in general. When sick, considerate, trusting, honest, etc. Sometimes, buys you gifts, for no apparent reason. As well as special holidays or birthdays. Is concerned about you making sure you are fine, or wondering what your doing. If he just wants to hang with you alot to. That's pretty much covers it. Well, Gosh, didn't mean to write a book. Just wanted to make sure you can understand what I mean in general. I wish you the best of luck. I think you will know when he is really your friend, you will do things that you do with your girl friends, simple activivites, tennis, running, bowling, skating. and mostly he will listen to you and help you to figure out your problems. Just being there to lean on will show he is a true friend.

a friend if he is always willing to stay beside me through think and thin. He is willing to defend me and listen to me. And understands and accepts me unconditionally.
Of soulmates?....i dont know maybe if we happen to get married and live happily ever after...:)

a soulmate isnt just a friend, its a feeling you have. most soulmates end up being your husband or wife. but knowing a man is your friend, he'll make it known. he'll do little things and show you how much he cares; trust me, you'll know

you can't really ever tell for sure. ok there may be signs but you'll always be guessing until you hear a straight up answer. you'll never really know the truth unless you ask them.

you must keep the respect... and tell him first that he is just a freind and you will and never engage in anything else.... most guys that doesn;t want that they'll back off if they want something else.
