She's one of my best friends in the universe, and we've been inseparable since we were 2. But recently I haven't seen her in forever, and she didn't have a party because she got her belly button pierced instead this year (lol). I didn't forget her birthday, I've just yet to find the perfect gift. I don't want anything cookie-cutter or usual.. I love her like a sister and I want something to wow her. Any suggestions? Thanks :)

For your best friend, you can buy a photo frame (13cm X 18cm) and write your birthday wishes to her in a paper of identical size with some decoration and frame it inside the photo frame. The photo frame does not only protect your birthday wishes to her but also allows her to put virtually anywhere she likes. And this is a pretty unique way to give a person something since normally people tend to use photoframes to store photos exclusively.

Or you can ask around her friends about what she likes. Or you can also ask yourself. Did she mention to you what she wanted the most? Or did you remember what she said when you went on shopping trips with her? All these tiny little details can help you to decide what you can to give her.

As long as you invest your effort in finding her a gift she'll know and she'll surely appreciate it. The best thing ever she could get is having such a best friend who cracked her brain just to think what to give her on her birthday! She would be glad to have such a considerate friend.

Hope this helps!

This might be 'cookie-cutter' but I would say that you ought to get a set of necklaces that has a charm that when they are put together they fit as one. I never had a best friend like that and that is what I would give my best friend . She would wear one necklace and I would wear the other.

Coffee?! No way. I'd say something like a $50 gift card for some place like Wal-mart or Kohl's. They've got a much better selection of gifts than a coffee place, and she'd still be able to choose what she likes.
