wow i didn't know that. its about anticipation...maybe it just seems longer or they don't want the customers to leave because they are running late. its all about clientele.

Really?, when I was Europe last, the trains were always on time. They've got over a century of practice and are usually right on time. Wow, I'm surprised. Public transit here in Canada sucks really badly. Two or three trains will go by in less than ten minutes and then it's twenty minutes before the next one. So much for spacing them out for regular interval service. That makes to much sense. I'm really surprised about trains being late in London though...

Yes it happens. I work in New York City and sometimes the train is 5-10 min late.

Sometimes that happened to me, before I got a car I used to take the BART train to school. The truth is there are delays when dealing with any kind of public transportation.

I don't know. Here where I live, we don't really use trains. People have their own cars or those who don't ride the public bus system! But I know what's it like to wait for a train! Except I've only waited for buses...

Hah! That's our airline. The morning announcement on the news says, "All flights are on schedule." ('Schedule' meaning they'll be here when they get here and not at all if the weather turns iffy.)
