Did you know Matel make M16's? It would be hard to find a company that doesn't sell to the government.

The Carlyle Group is the world largest privately held Corporation Worth over 15 billion in assets much of which is defense contractors, including United Defense maker of the Bradly fighting vehicle among other things. Also in 1998 they bought Bioiport the maker of Cipro the vaccine for anthrax for 20 million dollars after the scare of 2001 or so it sky rocketed last I heard it was about a 200 million dollar company. Since H.W Bush is about 85 years old the profits from the war will go soon enough to W and and the boys.

WHO is condoning? Bush family has been in the oil business 4 years...no secret..Anyone can buy sock in other companies that produce anything..(airplanes,tech research, armor, fertilizer, lumber etc)
Millions of Americans invest and support ,many corporations and organizations..DUH.
Its like asking ...why do people "condone" private ownership of guns??? A decision to own something is not a crime....

The Bush family is ridiculously rich and would not sacrifice their legacy for more cash money. It is apparent regardless of approval ratings that W. is steadfast and will finish what he started.
Let me address an issue that was touched upon - blood for oil. OK if we were really about blood for oil we wouldn't want 20,000 troops in Iraq, we would carpet bomb all of the middle east. People are saying are troops are oppresive, evil, nazi like w/e. I'm fed up and quite frankly i suggest that we do what everyone says we are doing and see how they like it. Go into the oil fields with a few hundred shock trooops and tanks take it and set up a perimeter and declare it soverign US soil. And then If anyone enters it that is not a member of the US armed services they will be shot, no questions asked. Then we will use all the oil in about 5 years and cause massive global warming. Within 10 years were all screwed.
Lets see what the liberal media says about that.
Now obviously were not going to do that and no one in their right mind would believe that is effective policy, I submit however that is blood for oil and what we are doing now is not blood for oil.

It's so nice of you to throw something out there with no information. What is a "war company"? Where did you get your information? Well I can guess on that one, a left wing website right? I think all of the Bush bashing has become quite boring and childish and I am so glad that I don't accept e-mail, you
are one of the reasons why! Thanks

If you think owning stock in a company that makes defense items is a crime, you're going to have to arrest millions of Americans. Oh, and say goodbye to all the nice big planes you fly on, since the companies that make them all produce military craft. And turn off your electricity - GE makes military electronics and submarines.
Be grateful stupidity isn't a crime...
Addendum: Stuart - sending me a personal message with verbal abuse was extremely childish of you.

How about a Vice President?
edit: I think you have your answer. Nobody here even knows what your term "war company" refers to. That's why they seem to condone it; they are generally ignorant of it.

The Bush family has owned oil wells in Kuwait for a long time and for George Bush's entire life. So everyone knew before he was elected that he was the oil companys.
