No'

I think that kind of make them feel like they are only limits to their stay in your home. When having visitors over your home is good to treat your guest in a timely matter. Just the same way you want to be treated in their home.

Start with a soft drink and offering a appetizer.Talk about positive thing and you'll see how the conversations between your guest and you won't drag for a long period of time. Sometime is best to invite your quest on a particular day or on a convenience day for you and your family. Giving your guest the full attention and welcome in your home is very important to them and you.

I really hope this answer your question.

The people I allow into my home never overstay their welcome, no one would be invited to my house if I had a limit to how much of their company I can handle. I am a brutally honest person and I dont pretend to like people I do not... the people I like are always welcome at my house.. If there is a reason they can only stay so long they know beforehand as all my friends have the courtesy to call before coming over. I dont keep friends that I dislike in any way, I would never feel that "I had enough" of my friends and want them to leave I like them too much for that and I am very honest with them.
I would never let anyone into my house in the first place that I could not tolerate.. they'd be told at the door that they are not welcome inside.

Yes. But try to be polite they are your visitor which means they are probably your friends. Try telling your visitors to
1) Always call before they come over it just the right thing to do for who knows what you might be doing.
2) Its your house so they better respect you and your wishes and that includes you wishing they would leave.
Your home is your castle and everyone needs to respect you in your castle but there is no need to be rude.
You get more with honey than you do vingar.

Make a reasonable excuse - I have to get up early tomorrow or I got up early today so I'm exhausted or whatever. Anyone with a brain will get the hint. If they don't then say look I'm sorry but I just have to go to bed. I've had it today.

I wish I could tell visitors to leave, but can't be that rude.
I always wait until they're ready.

I turn off the CO2 cylinder in the garage running to the kegs in my home bar. Amazing how fast people have to leave after you're "out of beer."

I tell them I'm tired. If they don't leave, I go to bed and ask them to shut the door on their way out.

If they come to visit us, we tell them right away they have to get a hotel/motel room. We've learned our lessons in having visitors stay with us.
